An AI Video Generator Without a Monthly Subscription

You can generate AI influencer videos here on one-off credit purchases instead of a plan. The exact meter, when a subscription is still cheaper, and what the credits do not buy.

HexUGC is an AI influencer generator, and you do not need a subscription to use it. Your first video is a one-off $5 purchase of 50 credits. After that, a one-time pack of 400 credits is $40, with no monthly fee attached to either. Credits do not expire, so a quiet month costs nothing. Monthly plans exist and work out cheaper per credit, but they are a choice rather than a gate you have to pass.

The monthly fee is usually the real objection

Short-form video is bought in bursts. You need six videos for a launch week, then nothing for three weeks, then four more when a format starts working. A plan prices that pattern as though it were steady usage, which is why so many of these tools get cancelled in month two. Nothing was wrong with the tool. The cadence just was not monthly.

The other reason people avoid a plan is smaller and more reasonable than vendors admit: they want to see the output before they commit to a recurring line on the card. Buying one video is a cheaper way to find that out than buying a month.

The meter, in numbers

Credits are the unit, and the counts are fixed rather than estimated:

  • A 10 second voiced video is 28 credits. A 20 second one is closer to 48, because length is what drives the cost.
  • Creating your character board is 5 credits, and each library still is 5.
  • $5 buys 50 credits, one per customer. That covers one character, one still and one short video.
  • $40 buys a one-time pack of 400 credits, about 14 ten-second videos.
  • For comparison, Starter is $15 a month for 300 credits, roughly 10 videos at about $1.50 each, and Creator is $30 for 600.

One-off credits are $0.10 each and plan credits are $0.05, so pay as you go costs about twice per video. That is the honest trade for not having a renewal date. We broke the per-video figure down against the cost of a hired creator in what a UGC video actually costs.

Credits roll over, which is what makes this work

There is no monthly reset and no expiry. Credits you bought in September are still there in November, whether you generated anything or not. Failed generations are refunded in credits automatically, so a job that dies in the pipeline does not quietly eat the pack you bought.

That is the whole mechanism behind buying once. Without rollover, a one-time pack is just a subscription you have to remember to repurchase.

When a plan is still the better buy

Past about five ten-second videos a month, the subscription is cheaper, and the gap widens from there. At that point you are spending roughly $15 of one-off credits anyway, which is Starter's price for twice the credits. If you are posting several times a week, take the plan and stop doing this arithmetic.

You can cancel it yourself from the billing page whenever you want, and the credits you have already been granted stay in the account. There is no retention email to get past.

What a credit actually buys

The same pipeline either way. You describe a character and get one sheet showing it from the front, left, right and back, head to toe, optionally anchored to photos of a real face. Stills generated from that sheet become your library of settings and angles. A video is then a still, a line of direction and a script you write or have drafted for you, lip-synced to an AI voiceover, stitched into a single 9:16 MP4 with word-synced captions burned in.

The export is yours to download, at full resolution and with nothing stamped across it, which we covered in an AI video generator with no watermark.

What this does not do

There is no free tier and no free credits. Signing up costs nothing, but creating your character is the first thing that spends credits, so you buy before you make anything.

We generate one video at a time. Batch and multi-variant generation are on our roadmap rather than shipped, so a pack of 400 credits is 14 sequential videos, not 14 at once.

We do not publish or schedule to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. You download the file and post it yourself, on whichever account you are growing.

And credits buy generations, not views. The character, the hook and the offer are still your decisions, and no meter changes that.
